Although based on my third published novel, there are important differences. The premise, an aspiring horror novelist's fictional work of a satanic cult's string of ritual murders bleeding over into reality, is the same. And so is the nature of the most ancient demon that has taken over the body and soul of the writer's old high school friend. But the protagonist, a writer named Jake Hankinson, is different. His struggle to overcome his inner demons, including alcoholism, directly impacts his deceased wife's journey through the afterlife.
